Blogging and the Classroom

I think that blogging can be useful to teachers because a lot of their students may be familiar with blogging already and it will be using a skill they already have to submit assignments to their teachers. A teacher can encourage participation through blogging by having the students write their thoughts about a certain topic or lesson and then have them comment on a couple of their peer’s submissions. It will allow them to create a dialogue that would otherwise not happen. There are precautions that the teacher can take so that students don’t take advantage of using the blogging site so I would definitely relay that to the teacher so they would feel better about allowing their student to access it.

I can also use blogging to communicate my thoughts to my fellow interns. Some of them may be feeling the same way I do and comment on my page giving me encouragement about the situation.

I think I'm making this site harder to use than it actually is.
